Uma Cucina presents the upcoming event at Uma Cucina on May 30th 2019 for an evening of culinary adventure with two of Bali’s top chefs — Chef Dove Sudarsana of Seminyak’s highly acclaimed MÉTIS restaurant, and Uma Cucina’s Executive Chef, Dewa Artana — who will collaborate to form a one-off feast of flavors.
The evening will begin at 6.30pm with welcome drink and canapés such as suckling pig terrine, marinated for 24 hours, and tortelloni served with pine nuts and Parmesan, before continuing to the main dinner at 7.30pm accompanied with live music.
Guests will enjoy a four-course menu prepared by Chefs Sudarsana and Artana, using locally sourced ingredients to showcase the highlights of French and Italian Mediterranean cuisine. The influences and experiences of these two top chefs are reflected in every flavour and texture, including spicy crab pasta with chermoula prawns and a vegan almond milk cheese salad with zucchini, lemon coulis and mesclun.
After four decadent courses, finish the evening with an indulgent medjool date tart with toffee sauce — transporting the taste buds to the swaying palms of the Mediterranean.
About the Chef
Chef Sudarsana has headed the MÉTIS kitchen since 2009, gaining a reputation for authentic fine dining experiences with a strong French influence, and inventive flavour combinations.
Chef Artana joined Uma Cucina as executive chef after years working in some of the world’s finest restaurants and resorts, including six years at COMO Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos. Under his leadership, Uma Cucina has risen to be considered one of Ubud’s best restaurants.
