Apéritif to participate in Ubud Food Festival 2019

Newspolitans, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019, that were announced recently in Macao, stamped the seal of approval on Ubud Food Festival as Asia’s leading culinary event. From 26–28 April in Ubud, Bali, a host of chefson this year’s list will collaborate for one-off special events, three of which are being held at the new Apéritif Restaurant and Bar.

At an impressive #18 on the Asia’s 50 List is il Restaurante Luca Fantin in Tokyo. At this year’s Festival Chef Luca Fantin will collaborate with Chef Nic Vanderbeeken who leads the kitchen at Viceroy’s Apéritif for a spectacular eight courses of modern Mediterranean masterpieces, to be held on 27 April.

Other Ubud Food Festival events include our 26 th April collaboration with Bangkok’s Haoma Restaurant chef Deepanker Khosla Focused on sustainable fine dining, both chefs will transport you to a world filled with Asian flavours expressed with European techniques whilst using a “no waste”dining concept.

To complete the journey, the Fine Dining Royalty event will be held on 28 th April. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon group is fine dining royalty, with 35 Michelin stars awarded to its restaurants globally. Yannis Janssens is Executive Pastry Chef at L’Atelier Bangkok and will create a spectacular chefs’ dessert menu with Apéritif’s executive pastry chef Alexander McKinstry.

Recall to UFF event in 2016 where Chef Nic was hosting a fine dining dinner four hands collaboration with the young and talented world-class chef, Chef Julien Royer from Odette restaurant in Singapore. Odette has claimed the No 1 spot at the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 awards ceremony on Mar 26, beating out four-time winner Gaggan.
